Name one reason why you will kill the biggest buck of your life this year and post a pic of the kind of buck you'd like to kill....big 6...wide 8...chocolate rack.....

Me...42 is my lucky number and I turn 42 this hunting season. Hope the deer gods look favorably on this star alignment!

 

I'm gonna kill the biggest buck of my life this year because.... The sun shines on a donkeys butt every now and then :D

 

This year I have put in a lot more time and effort getting food plots in here in NC. Its all been a solo mission so far. I have not taken a buck yet that broke 100" so I am hoping to do so this year.

This is the buck I am targeting, he should break the 100" mark.

Copperhead.....break that 100 inch barrier. For many of us, breaking 100 inches is nothing to scoff at. Good luck.

 

I don't give much of a care as long as it's a nice mature buck that's had a long life and is healthy. As far as the biggest buck of my life, I'd love to take one that makes B&C. Taken a few that just missed by a few inches. I don't have any pics of any yet this year that would do it.

I'd also like to take a piebald buck or a melanistic.

 

because I'm going to stay positive every sit. and realize he could show up in a split second.
at the time this pic was taken he had more growing to do. I am anxious for my next pull but I am very timid to go in there because it has to be close to his bedroom. i'll err on the side of caution for sure.

 

I'd say! That's a super nice deer.

 

This is the target. He only seems to come out of his 50ish acre thicket during the rut and in the dead of winter... and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who knows he's in there.

Thanks! Only problem is that much of his core area is nasty thick.. virtually impenetrable. I got a few cams on the fringe, as we speak. Hoping to get some velvet pics.

hunt the edges cautiously. that's what ive done for years with good results. you can get him mid October before the rut. midday early afternoon.

 

because we have a date. he was 5 yards too far last year but I've practiced that distance so when I see him this year I'll be ready. regretfully the only picture is in my mind....

I'm optimistic. I feel like everytime out will be the time I kill the big one. Don't have any pic's of him yet this year. Just put the camera out today. Hopefully we'll see something in the next few weeks.

I'm upping my odds this year and hope to beat my biggest buck this year! Every one always says location, location, location. So I bought into a lease this year in the best big buck area in the county I live in. I may not run cameras in early season just to keep pressure off. Then for the week before season starts I will sit in a observation stand in the evenings watching the beans fields. I will set up my stand opening day were every I see the bucks coming out the week before. I cant wait!

 

1 reason is confidence in my method, I shoot bigger deer by hunting less.

 

I'll kill my best buck this year because I'm bowhunting this year. Until now I've only hunted muzzleloader season and have only ever had shots at smaller ones so it shouldn't be hard. We're also planting about 3.5 acres worth of food plots and I have a decent buck on camera already this year.
