I just discovered this podcast this morning, called "Keep Hammering with Cameron Hanes." Many are probably familiar with Cameron Hanes, but for those of you who are not, he's a bow hunter and a physical fitness expert that does a lot of different hunting related videos and promotions and what not. Anyways, he has a podcast out (4 episodes out now) that mainly covers bowhunting with other popular bowhunting guests. It's available on iTunes for free, and apparently, it has actually been near the top of the rankings for sports podcasts the past few weeks. I just figured I'd throw this out there for anybody that enjoys or listens to radio talk shows or podcasts. If you like that kind of stuff, definitely check it out. It's pretty good.
You've been living under a rock if you don't know who Cameron Hanes is. But he's been on the Rogan podcast, which is how he's managed to rank in the top for the first few weeks. A lot of good hunting podcasts out there to keep someone occupied.
Cameron Hanes makes my "long" 50 yards shots look like chip shots when hes shooting in the hundreds...
What are some other good ones that you'd recommend? I'd never been too interested in podcasts until I heard Cameron's, and now I'd be interested in checking out some other good hunting/fishing/outdoor related podcasts.
Hunting Wired to Hunt Meat Eater The Gritty Bowmen Hunt Talk Radio Hunt Gather Talk The Hunt Backcountry Podcast The Rich Outdoors Nock On The Hunting Dog Podcast Non hunting Joe Rogan Experience Ben Greenfield Fitness Tim Ferriss Show Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Common Sense with Dan Carlin *Rogan talks a lot of hunting on his but it's also a lot of other topics.
I was gonna say The Gritty Bowmen too. If you are into Youtube watching "Hushin" is good, Midwest Whitetail, Wired to Hunt and Stuck N The Rut are all pretty good.
Is there any android apps that has these podcasts? I've never been an apple guy so hoping I don't have to get Itunes
To my knowledge, podcasts are only on iTunes. But then I've never had a reason to look anywhere else since I use Apple products. Although I wish they would just leave iTunes alone. Every time I figure out how to use the new version, they update it again. It's kind of a pain.
Actually try this. http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-download-listen-to-podcasts-android-ios-iphone/ I didn't read the article but looks like it should help.
I like Pocket Casts. It costs a couple of bucks but it is worth it IMO. Just use the search feature to find the podcast you want to listen to.You can set your podcasts to auto download when you're connected to wifi. Podcasts aren't strictly an Apple thing.
I use Stitcher. Listen to radio shows and podcasts on demand, create custom stations, get personalized recommendations & always be up to date. | Stitcher Radio On Demand Wired To Hunt is one of the best. I listen to Mark's other podcast with the Drury's, "100% Wild" as well. Sent from my Turbo 2.
The three I listen in are mainly are Nock On, Wired to Hunt, and now I am catching Camerons since he started a couple weeks ago. All pretty good, Dud is by far my favorite to listen to. It is on iTunes and also podbean. Nock On
Agree with most of you but some other podcast are: Big Buck Registry Up North Journal If your at all in the military stuff SOFREP is a must, check it out. I'll also tip of the hat to the Nine Finger chronicles Pod Vinnie Tortorich Celebrity fitness training if you want to learn how to eat. I also like Bill Burrs monday morning podcast Hunt talk with Randy Newburg is pretty good as well. That's my 2 cents.
One that hasn't been mentioned here yet is "Conservation Matters" with Shane Mahoney. That man is an absolute wealth of knowledge and the way he can articulate words is truly moving. If you've listened to Hunttalk or Wired 2 Hunt, you've heard him on there a few times.
