I drew an archery tag for second season (Sept 15th) in unit 9 New Mexico. This is west of Albuquerque and encompasses Mount Taylor. There are three of us on this hunt so we're starting to get prepared. Does anyone know about this unit or have experience hunting this unit? If so, any advise as to where to start would be much appreciated. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, just a pointer or two to start on. Also, we're not afraid to get well off the beaten path to avoid other hunting pressure. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
