Ever since i moved to my small town here in North East illinois I've wanted to hunt this awesome property along the river when ever I'm fishing I see so many deer and the 2 biggest deer I've seen were on this property it's a awesome Trac it's 3 miles along the river with 2 bean fields and a corn field. I did a crap ton of research to find out who owns it but could never find out where he actually lived but new his name and everything about him lol . So the story begins I'm a heavy machine operator for a industrial metal company. Lately our company has been having alot of electrical problems so we hired a union electrician to fix and keep up on or electric. So I gotta show the guy everything that's wrong and what not. we get to talking I ask his name immediately I know who he is and ask if he still owns the property. he does so I have 2100 left over from my tax return I offer it to him for a year lease on that 3 miles of river front property. He replys NO he says are you serious about hunting I say yes it's my life he then says I don't need or want your money he tells me to come out and give him 40 to 60 hours of work and I can hunt all year anything I want and trap or fish. It's a dream come true and come to find out he owns 3 miles along the river 122 acres he lives on has another 244 down the road from me and another 432 acre Trac 10 min from me. he says I can hunt all the property's but the one he lives on cause he hunts that one only during the gun seasons. Now I'm set for life each year he'll give me a small work list I get it done and I can hunt or fish anytime and I have no dead line or anything when it has to be done by as long as it gets done he said . I'm still in shock over this all. I put in 8 hours of work today it was awesome and I'll be the only one hunting the property's or allowed on the properties . he has already notified the farmer and gave him the make model and my plate of my vehicle so he knows. I'm going to hang cams and everything this weekend and I'll post what I get when I get it.

That's awesome! Congrats! That is exciting news....

I might recommend you take that $2100 and buy a few periods and commas to put in your sentences though:biggrin:

Thanx alot I'm still in shock it's awesome I was never expecting this to happen. I went today he showed me all the properties and everything after I was done working. So far all I have to do is trim the fence line along his house with a weed eater and cut a bunch of trees down for him and I'm also getting a crap ton of fire wood for free I filled my tuck up twice lol.

Congrats man that's really cool, hope it works out well for you both.

Maybe it's just my paranoid nature but I'd be a little cautious of such a great deal, sounds like there's nothing in writing so be careful you're not taken advantage of...time is important too.
