Hadn't checked my trail cam for a while so I ventured out the other day. Look what I found!

I've gotten a few nice pictures of deer on my trail cameras before but nothing I got excited about and would consider a "hitlist" buck. This one I would consider that.

If anyone wants to do the whole "guess the age/score" thing, go for it. Frankly though if he walks in front of me I guarantee I'm going to try to shoot him.

Hard to say age with that pic but I agree I'd shoot.

Looking at his chest and his hips he appears 4.5-5 maybe? There's no dip just before his hips and his chest is deep and brisket skin looks loose. I'm really just taking a stab in the dark though. Shooter for me, nonetheless. That's probably a buck of a lifetime where I live.

Thanks guys. Like I said, I'm really looking forward to trying to find him. Being my first year bowhunting it's going to be hard to get over the mentality of "short season, shoot the first buck you see or you might not see another one."

Do bucks clear out for does? The first half of the pics were all bucks, a few of them a little on the smaller side and this guy. But then the second half is all does and fawns. I mean it makes sense. If me and the guys are hanging out and other dude's old lady shows up with the kids, you can bet we're going to go somewhere else. Guess I never thought about deer doing the same thing.
