Hey Everybody! Last year I had an encounter with a buck I call Bday. He was my number one buck and I'm positive he made it through the season as I have pics of him in January. On my last card pull I have pics of a decent buck and think it could be him. Looking for opinions. Let me know! :tu:

Here is pics of him last season

These are the recent pics that I believe are him.

Beautiful deer. Going by his brow tines he appears to be the same. It looks that to me, anyways. His left is a touch taller and a tad more bent than the right and it seems to have carried over.

The main one is the split right ear in the newer pic...also the left ear shows a little indent on the outside edge as well....not that things don't happen...I don't know I'm back and forth on this one but I can't decide yet

Other than the antlers, I think a similarity is the shoulders. Both have very strong shoulders.

Man, i'd like to say its the same deer but I just cant tell. I use to think I could pick out deer from previous years in my area and I'm wrong half the time I think. I've seen deer with nice racks like that come back the next year and have a completely different rack the next. Only reason I know they were the same deer is by a physical body mark like a scar.

The thing is we don't have a lot of different bucks around us. I know of two other shooters that probably made it and I doubt either is the buck I recently got pics of. Here they are. First one I call Big Eddy and the second I call Gator.

I'm going to be in the minority but I think that it is a different deer. The deer this year look like he's a younger deer by the way his neck blends in to his chest. Also as has been pointed out, the cuts in the ear are also different. Same gene pool without a doubt but I'm going with different deer.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I agree, it's probably the same deer. Good luck with him.

I second this^ we could be wrong though, to me it looks younger and the slits in the ear is different.

I don't think it has any cuts in it's ear/s, I think that's just a different color. I'm saying same deer.
