Thinking about getting a new sight sometime before deer season comes and I'm deciding between the HHA king pin and HHA optimizer ultra.. But is the king pin REALLY worth the extra $100-$120 more? Not sure if I see myself paying and extra $100 to be able shoot 20 more yards

I would pick up a used optimizer and give it a try. You can always sell it down the road and get a king pin. I love my HHA OL

I have the kingpin and I really like it. The yardage adjustment wheel being moved to accommodate easier access and better visibility was a big advantage for me in the kingpin. Either one is a very solid sight and I don't think you will be disappointed with whatever you choose.

Yeah I noticed the king pins wheel is farther down the sight. Idk I'll have to do some thinking about which one I wanna try

If you're on a budget and it means the difference between upgrading some other accessories or not, the Ultra is a perfectly fine site. I do like the Kingpin design slightly better - especially the ease of quiver mounting. You really can't go wrong either way.

Agreed. I have the KingPin on my Halon 6 and the DS-5519 on my Z7 Magnum. Like JZ said, the easy of quiver mounting for the KingPin is a plus. Also, adjusting the yardage is a lot smoother as well.

I've used both -- either get the job done. But the king pin is on my bow today. :)
