so my wife has started getting into shooting bows. she started on Easter and absolutly loved it. I took her to a local archery store where i bought my bow and she was messing around with some of the bows they had. i was leaning more towards a diamond infinite edge for her mainly because it has such a broad adjustment on it. Now i come here and see what everyone elses opinion is on a good beginner bow for her.
I would give Mission a look. Try to get her something that she likes because if she doesn't like a bow she probably isn't going to shoot it much or at all.
I have seen some wives during league and 3d shoots with a Hoyt charger and the Mathew jewel I believe they are built more for our wives but if you could find a Mathews heli-m it's a very lite weight bow but depending on the poundage she needs and draw length just some thoughts
It's your wife's bow, let her pick it. Not to sound like a jerk, but you wouldn't want someone picking your bow for you, so don't do that to her. I know new people don't know much, so give her some guidance, but give her an array to choose from. If you pick a bow that she doesn't like, she either won't shoot or won't enjoy shooting.
why do you think i came here. lol. i wanted to see what the best bows were for woman through other people that have wife's that shoot bows. i am going to let her pick it out and its her taste. ps. not snapping at you so dont think that haha.
If she's a full-grown adult she is not going to need that massive draw length adjustment on something like the infinite edge. Some of the PSP Bows can adjust up to 15 pounds.
My wife wanted the Infinite Edge and she loves it. The bow is actually very quiet and accurate. I was surprised with its quality. As far as I'm concerned is the best bang for the buck.
Lot's of good options. Get something with a lot of adjustability. Also as others have said let her pick it out if it's something she is interested in, it will make her that much more interested to know what is going on. Then she will have the option of choosing something that she likes and feels good to her. Bear makes some great entry level bows as well as women's bows but really any name brand bow company is going to have something good to get her started. Bear, Bowtech, Diamond, and Elite are all good options to start looking at. Good luck!
My Girlfriend also just got into archery and she got a Bear Cruzer. She loves it. I recommended it out of the couple she liked at the shop because it was the most adjustable. She started at 35 pounds to get the hang of it and we already bumped her up gradually to 45. Just helping the form of an archer can increase the weight they can pull. But like others said. Lots of bows like this.
Gee. I guess that I read that wrong. I thought you were trying to trade your wife for a bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The women in my life have been enjoying the G5 Quest Radical...... in purple!
I currently have a Mission Craze. I like that it goes 15-70# and comes in a broad variety of colors/camos. I started off with a Hoyt Ruckus. With that being said, I hope to upgrade to the Mathew's Jewel this season.
Well u have gotten the men's veiw and I'm glad u have a woman's veiw now. Hope that gives a better perspective on it for ya lol
