I am a Hoyt guy and have been for years. I have been brand loyal for a long time. I have always shot speed bows and wanted something that was easier to hold and draw for hunting. I went in to the shop and shop lots of different bows. When I shot the Matthews no cam I could not put it down, it drew easy, held like a dream, and I shot it the best. I said I would never buy a Mathews but I ended up walking out of the shop with it. It is the sweetest shooting bow I've ever put in my hands. I think I am getting smarter as I get older, I actually went with the bow that felt the best and not loyal to one name. The best part is I got a heckuva deal on the bow.

Awesome! Congrats on the new bow and the great deal! They say with age comes wisdom. I think practicality rules out in your decision making once you get older. Some things just fit right and this is the perfect example of it. I never would shoot a Dual cam bow. I hated them all. Mathews, Bowtech, Hoyt, PSE and so on. I only shot Single cam bows. Thus I shot Mathews. That all changed for me when I shot the Halon 6 at the end of last year. Like you, I couldn't put it down. And like you, I bought it. Good shooting and Good Hunting this year!!

I want to say congrats on the new bow but a Hoyt guy switching to Mathews on April Fools day without pictures to back it up seems a bit fishy to me!

You made a good choice. The HTR is a good bow. Definitely one of the most accurate bows I have shot to date. Having t-rex syndrome I just needed a little more speed to get the kinetic energy I wanted. Enjoy the bow and I think it will serve you well. :tu:

I loved my z7 till I shot the Halon. Each person prefers different bows, and the no cam didn't do it for me...
however put everything the Mathews has vs all the problems it doesn't have. And you won't switch until u find the next Mathews that wins your heart!
    Congrats!
