He has renounced his former anti-gun views and claims to be a collector. His son is a huge pro-gun activist, competitive shooter, and avid hunter. Including traditional archery.

Well yes, I was talking about your thinking. My vote for Rand will not be voting for Hillary or Sanders although I believe a vote for Trump will. Not because he can't win but because he is the same as them. What he is saying now is directly in contrast with what he has said in the past. He is a showman and a salesman. He says what he thinks people want to hear. For example he needs the Christian vote so he is a Christian all of a sudden but his lifestyle doesn't show it. He probably doesn't know more than 2 verses of the bible but he holds it up and use it as a prop. The man is a fraud.
All politicians are frauds. That's what they do. I agree and would vote for Rand if I thought he could win but you and I both know that's not gonna happen. Don't we? So I'm forced to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, same way in every election since I was born. Sorry, but that's what happens. Mathe Trump had a change of heart and saw the error of his ways? I don't know. But I don't doubt for a second he will get in to office and try to undo what Oblunder has screwed up. I just believe he will because he's not beholden to who has him in his pocket. I wasn't being ugly either and admit I have no idea what you "think" but it's not really what you think but a thought process. The media uses the polls where they call old people on landlines and they pick the identifiable name. They put the poll number up and people pay attention to the front runners. The front runner will tickle their ear and the voter will justify any past transgressions in the name of picking the winner.
I'm 36 and pretty well read and pretty opinionated (obviously ) so some cold call from a super PAC isn't going to change my mind or beliefs. I don't disagree with you, I just have a problem when someone throws me in to a group of the "media controlled" people when I know good and damn well what I stand for and believe in. So you can sit and think what you want to about the masses but I don't follow the crowd. My daddy taught me to stand up for what I believe in and hold true to my heart and do that to this day and until the day I die. Godspeed and vote for who you want to because that is your God given right as an American sir. Now praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
But Rand has supported the selling of public lands. If the country can hold onto our second amendment rights with Obama, then I think we have a pretty good chance of holding up against any of these candidates. Public lands is the most important issue when it comes to hunting and other outdoor recreations.

I won't have to write him in. That article is a bit misleading. He suspended his campaign but he is still on the ballot.
Good Luck with Trump, I hope he wins. I would say it would be a good lesson for the American people to learn not to vote on what people say but on a clear record of their past, but looking back at the last 8 elections the American people don't learn so well.
The sad part is you could say that about EVERY candidate that makes it to this point. Takes a real nut job to run for president.
