    Starting to get into bow hunting heavenly just wondering how you calculate what arrows to get

    A couple of starting points:

    What do you intend to shoot (target/3d, hunting (and what specifically; small game or big game))?

    What type of bow do you shoot (recurve, single cam, double cam)?

    What poundage is the bow?

    What is your draw length?

    These are typical questions that most arrow manufactures use to guide you to their particular line, model and other characteristics of their arrows.

    Great article. I have read it a view times when tempted to go to a lighter arrow. It always puts me back where I am.

    I use OnTarget2 shaft selector. Download from pinwheel software. Uses data you enter about your bow and set up and determines what works for you. Good starting point for arrow selection.
