Ouch for Muddy as Hawk calls them out. Pretty much a complete identical design. Not sure on Hawks patents or if they had any.

Following is straight off Hawks Facebook page.

Haha, I love this kind of stuff. It's one thing to try to replicate a successful product with your own renditions.

It's another be to be a lazy *** hat and make a blatant copy. Pathetic.

Was just about to post this...

Hawk is one of the most innovative companies out there. Sad that Muddy is that desperate. I'll just add onto their nightmare by no longer buying their stuff. Go Muddy??

you had to see muddy going down hill as soon as they were bought out by big game treestands. After all big game was and is mostly junk so its just rubbing off on them.

Yup, shared on my Facebook....utterly sheer coincidence I've not utilize Muddy anything....now it will be by choice. Idiots.

I love all the Hawk stuff I got so far, bow holder, accessory hooks, rubberized coiling, stand and sticks.

Whether they like it or not this kind of stuff happens all the time. Competition is always good for the consumer.

I have a big game climber and I love it. There is nothing wrong with it.

Ha-ha. I also use that bow holder ( the hawk not the muddy) . I've really started to look more and more at hawks products. Just waiting for more of their stand to be carried in store.

Anyone tried their camera arm with a fluid head? Not expecting it to be epic, but serviceable?

I have a big game stealth ladder stand from 5-6 years ago and there's not a spec of rust on it or anything wrong with it. How long ago did their quality decrease?

Wonder if that bow arm is patented... that could get expensive.

Honestly I never thought the quality was really any good, the few we had didn't hold up at all. The only saving grace was they were cheap to buy.

I had big game stands and the only problem I had was they are soooo heavy. as an outsider watching I notice muddy in the middle of design situations. somehow I see that lone wolf makes a stand similar to the muddy now muddy is copying hawk on this product. muddy just seems like they aren't checking patent designs or not getting their own design patent. seems like their company is a mess just from what I'm observing.

Not sticking up for Muddy on this one, but Hawk has done similar things. I have a couple sets of Field and Stream climbing that I purchased from ****'s Sporting goods 3 years ago. They are basically identical in design and function to the Hawk Helium Sticks. I really like Hawk's line of accessories. I think they are extremely well thought out and build with excellent quality. I have not been overly impressed with their stands. They seem to be basic remakes of every basic stand out there. From the looks of it, it really looks like Hawk's accessories manufacturer has diversified and started supplying those accessories to other resellers. They just look too identical.

You know everybody is angry about this (and should be) but many are ok with all the china made copies of broadheads. On other sites guys argue for days there is nothing wrong with the cheaper broadheads, but I bet this changes their mind because they are both well known companies.

I love my Muddy harness, but just as I am against knock off broadheads, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I may be harness shopping.

Hawk took a rubber gear ties, added it to a hook and called it their new 2016 product.....yeah rubber gear ties have been around for awhile.

HAWK better hope they had that patent correctly.

I'm sure the Chinese manufactures appreciate the extra business.
