For those who had the privilege to go, AKA Justin and Fitz , were there any new camera arms at the show, or other items regarding filming hunts?

    I'm in for this too....

My Muddy Outfitter arm HAS to be replaced before next year. I hate that thing. Sloppy and noisy.

There was a sweet new camera arm prototype Justin Showed me literally as we were leaving. I'll have to see if I can track down their info. I know JZ and Todd got their cards. They had a tubular design, one in aluminum and on carbon fiber. The attachment bracket to the tree was a box that was relatively cheap solution that you could buy multiples of and slide the base into.

Pretty neat idea and there were just a couple things they were still working on. The carbon fiber one was ridiculously light, which I LOVE.

It's still in prototype/design phase so I told them I wouldn't share any photos just yet.

In a nutshell it's a 3 piece design. The first piece is the base that mounts to the tree and you leave it there all season. The second piece is your adjustment and connection for the arm itself. In essence it's a large ball head with a level on it. This piece itself is fairly compact - maybe the size of a softball. The arm then slides into the head and will be available in both aluminum and carbon fiber. They're estimating cost to come in around $200 on the carbon version and $150 on the aluminum version. Extra bases will be $30 so they're affordable enough where you can buy a few of them for your different stand setups.

As Fitz said there's a few kinks to work out, however it should be available some time this Spring or Summer. :tu:

The arm is 2 sections. I could be wrong but I thought someone out there had a patent on a 3 section arm which is why you don't see them.

The ability to leave the base part attached to the tree is Awesome! It will make setting up a lot quieter and easier. I will be looking forward to seeing it!

I am also looking forward to seeing this new arm! And the price sounds reasonable too.
