I know this is a bow site, but it is his first deer and I couldn't be happier!! I never knew how excited I would be. Im sure you dads can relate!
thank you everyone! I would trade every kill I have to keep this feeling going. It was truly the best hunting experience I have ever been apart of. The true excitement he had was priceless. He still can't believe it's real this morning. This was his 5th shot at a deer this year. He had completely missed the other 4 and was starting to get down on himself.. When we got to his deer the first thing he did was look up at me and said "dad, the first thing we need to do is thank Jesus for this" I am even more proud of that!
[h=2]“A hunt based only on the trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be.” -Fred Bear[/h]Passing down the tradition of wildlife conservation and hunting from generation to generation is the responsibility of all of us. Great job kiddo! Congratulations on that memory Vabowman! You never forget your first kill!
I agree 100%! My youngest daughter is 10 years old and is with me in the stand every day of rifle season. I would trade all my trophy kills to watch her get her first deer.
So cool. Way to pass on the addiction! I still remember my first deer kill with my gpa. Your boy will never forget either.
Congratulations! Sound like you are raising a fine young man! My daughter is only 2 but she already checks trail cams with me and knows bucks and does apart! Can not wait to be in your shoes!
Definitely more excited when my "hunting partner," my son, gets a deer but I'm in a bitter-sweet position now.................. he now has children of his own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is nothing like the feeling we as parents all get when our kids do something special!! Many congratulations are in order for your son and you as well!! Great job young man!
