And I am absolutely dreading it. I try not to let it shine through and I realize we're all hunters and everyone does their own thing. But man, I can't help but get a sick feeling in my stomach as soon as Thanksgiving is over here in PA. I don't have a problem with the gun hunters, just for whatever reason, just have grown to dislike the season.

Am I the only one who hates seeing the gun seasons roll around?

To me, it means mass disruption of the woods. But, I have a buck at the taxi, so I'm OK with it. lol

I hate it in NY with a passion. I refuse to set foot in the woods the first week of the season. In fact for the past few years I schedule a Midwest hunt so I am away the first week of NY gun season.
Even through there are less and less hunters in the woods every season there are still enough to screw everything up.
Every truck has a 4 wheeler on it because God forbid they have to walk to their stand on the 30 acres they hunt... Let me stop my rant ...and just say I was glad I was in Kansas.

I love it because of the tradition it brings.

Gun season is to hunt with and be around family. Bow season I hunt alone almost always.

Orange army = bad new. Putting on drives wounding deer scaring them in to the next county... sucks

In VT, bow season is over by the last day of October meaning we completely miss the rut hunt. Riffle comes In the second weekend of November with no hunting in between, it really is a terrible set up for a bow hunter. Once the gun season starts the odds of killing a buck out of a bow stand are nearly zero. So with that said it only makes sense to pick the the A-bolt and take a walk assuming you want to be in the woods.

Well I gun hunt and bowhunt (prefer bowhunting),so in a way it bothers me becauce it seems to spook all the deer but then again it dosnt bother me nearly as much as some people. The reason being that it is kinda a tradition and our family kills a lot more deer during that time and we hunt more right then becauce Dad prefers gunhunting to bowhunting.

I put the Hoyt away and get the 7 mm out. Then get the flintlock out. Or the Hoyt. Each season has some good. And some less good.

I don't mind gun hunters. Haven't done it but it's their thing.

What I do know is that 5 guys I work with all shot there deer this year from the truck.

I feel like a hypocrite because I rifle hunted a long time. I gave it up a couple times through the years due to close calls (heard the bullet buzz my head crossing a field once and got threatened one year) and gave it up for good around 2007 or so. I really dislike rifle season now but try not to complain about it. I skip the first day but do bow hunt during rifle season after the first day craziness.

Hate it. Do like that they went back to buck for the first week but PA's seasons are whack. Too many people with guns that don't think twice about walking wherever they want. Glad I have a buck at the taxi. I wouldn't mind seeing it rain. Saves a lot of deer

Always hate those rifle hunters that come in an hour before dark, Very disrespectful to a hunter that sits for hours on end only to hear all this crashing and the "1 hour hunter" Shoots a deer. :)

I hate rifle season. I worry an unknown orange hunter will shoot me. Too many in the state have hunting rights that lack common sense (especially my area!).

That being said, I'll be out the first Saturday. I need meat for the freez er.

    I'm a hunter.
I prefer bow, then comes muzzleloader and in third place is a rifle.
