Last year was my sons first year hunting and he got his first ever deer, a button buck, during Missouries youth firearm season. This year he was ready to go after them with his bow. All the time and practice that he puts into shooting I had no doubt he was ready. So we headed back out to Missouri last week for a week of bowhunting. The first half of the week the temps were high and we were not seeing much movement. Friday the temps cooled off and we decided to do an all day sit. I dropped him off at his stand before shooting light then made my way to mine. When we get back from hunting he said he sat 12 hours and never saw a single deer.. until 5:00 a buck came in and he stuck an arrow in it. I instantly become overwhelmed with emotion and we get into the whole story including the shot, where he hit, the deers reaction, direction and everything. We found him early the next morning. Unfortunately yotes got to him first but left just enough cape for a shoulder mount. I could not be more proud right now! Beautiful 120" 9 point We have a lot of trail cam pics of this buck too and dubbed him the "V" buck due to the way his brows are in a V shape.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!!!! Congratulations buddy!!!! that is one day he will never forget and neither will you!!!!!

Congrats that's awesome. I started when I was 13, and I'm hooked for life. You will be too! Nice buck
Congratulations! I love how he didn't tell you right away, lol. "Oh, you know, saw nothing until 5 then I smoked a buck"
Haha thats about it! He said a few days before he had a plan if he got one and he defiantly used it on me. His phone went dead too so that helped in his process.
