big bodied public land buck down!

    Shot this guy yesterday morning at 8:30 on public land in MN. I was eating a sandwich and he came in chasing a doe. Made for an interesting shot with a mouth full of PB&J. Ran 100 yards uphill and fell within site. Had to drag his fat a** .75 miles to my car. He weighed 209lbs dressed! This is my biggest buck to date and my first buck with a bow! Now time to decide on a shoulder mount :)

    Congrats. My doe was hard enough to drag out of thick area with a bunch of fallen trees, and I even had help. I couldn't imagine dragging that brute that far.

    Excellent buck, congrats! Can you legally debone and quarter a deer there? If so, they fit neatly into or onto a backpack/frame unit. Makes it a whole bunch easier to get a biggun' out that way.
