First archery deer!

    Finally, in my second year bow hunting, I put my first archery deer on the ground! I know she is just a fawn but I am super happy to been given the chance to take this deer and have my first bow kill under my belt. I am super proud! I have been rifle hunting for 18 years and having bow hunted for 2 years now, I have learned this is a whole different ball game and I love it!

    I shot her at 17 yards, she jumped, then walked about 10 yards, and laid down (not a crash). It was such a weird thing for me to watch. At first I thought I missed the way the deer walked off but once it laid down, I knew different. I got one lung and a solid liver shot. Pass through with 49 lb dw and 25.5" dl.
