After 3 years of hardships when it comes to chasing whitetails here in IL my streak finally ended this morning. The story is short, sweet and to the point. Picked up a new lease this spring, scouted and hung stands this summer, first time into one of those spots this guy came by on his way back to bed. 21 yards broadside and I put a 2" Spitfire XXX through his heart. He ran 60 yards and piled up. I've never seen so much blood come out of a deer in my life. Full story with video will be on this week's episode of Bowhunt or Die. Unofficial gross score 147 2/8". That's a freaking dandy bud, congratulations!!! Should make a beauty of a mount. There ain't nuthin wrong with your skills man, you were just chasing some wise old bucks the last couple of years.
