Well the land lady we lease from in Kansas gave us the go ahead again this year. This news just brightened up my hunting season even more, cant wait to have a chance on taking down the buck I had to let go last year because I was tagged out. Also excited to bring my wife to texas for her first out of state bow hunt on a big texas buck and axis buck. November will be amazing 6 more months to GO!!!!! Who is ready?
You have to apply for your permit/tag by April 24th each year they only have so many so yes I guess it considered a draw. My friend that runs the lease has been going for 5 years now and gets his tags and license without any issues. I didn't get a license last year till july because they have extra tags. But this year I'm beating the dealine now that I know we are back in.
trail153 same here the day after I killed my buck a 140-145in 9pt walked out 20 yard in front my blind following a doe lol I was like but still happy with the buck I took
I am planing on about 10 days or so days starting the third week. Last year I killed my buck in the last 10 minutes of my hunt. My truck was packed and I was planing on starting my drive after a shower and getting changed....needless to say I was delayed a bit. When are you going?
killed my buck last year on the 17th and rut was killing in so want to hit it around the same time if possible
I killed on the 22nd. I had pretty decent action the whole week. The cold weather had them hanging close to feed and cover early in the week. But once the weather broke they started rolling again.
Got there on the day it snowed, so it was pretty cool to hunt in the snow for a few days but I think that front got them moving good. Its always exciting to go hunting here in Louisiana seeing maybe a deer every 3-5 hunts to seeing 8 to 15 deer a hunt haha
Same here it's another world compared to my part of NY. I got my tag app in and my license bought...can't wait
Congrats to you on the land, and best of luck to your wife gettn` after em``! Post some pics after she scores on a buck!!
