Trying to find a new rangefinder around $200 with ARC technology. After a little research I'm considering the Nikon Prostaff 7 or Bushnell The Truth with Clearshot... anyone have any advice on which they think would be better? Or a better recommendation for the price range? Thanks!

I have the Nikon Archer's Choice and I like it a lot. I strictly bow hunt so I don't need a rangefinder that ranges out several hundred yards. With that being said, I have ranged things out to 150 yards with it.

I pefer Nikon optics. I have Prostaff 5 rangefinder that is awesome, wasnt worth it for me to spend the extra money to get ARC since i'm only using it for bowhunting. 2 yards makes no difference to me. IMO the prostaff series anything is always a good buy

I've tried both and found Nikon to be the better choice by far

I use Nikon. I have a Pro Staff3 cheapo and my friend has a Bushnell (not sure of the model but it was more expensive than mine) but I swear the Nikon is brighter/more clear.

I have a bushnell arc 1000 and it's junk. The slightest bit of fog and it won't range anything, the battery is toast within a couple months and the customer service is brutal. I'm never recommending bushnell products to anyone!

Bushnell is junk. Nikon is better. Leupold is even better, that what I have.

I recently sent my Bushnell Chuck Adams in for repair...outside of warranty. It is an older version of what is now the Primos Truth rangefinder. Mine is five years old. They basically told me the CPU is toast and it would be cheaper to buy a new one that repair my existing one. At a discounted price of $135 versus the new price of $200. It worked great until this past year when it worked one week than quit working completely after replacing the dead battery. Personally, I would buy it again but not at $200. I am not buying a refurbished one at $135. I found that price steep considering I bought it on sale brand new for $150. Catch it on sale or look at a different brand. It is overpriced at $200. There are better brands available at the price.
