After changing my mind on what I was going to do a number of times we finally made a decision yesterday. I was going to give my son my Chill after I sold his Mission Craze but did not want to spend as much as they said on the limbs and mods to get it to fit him. I looked at trading it on another Mathews for him but after talking to one of the guys I really trust that manages the local bow shop we traded my Chill on a Bowtech Carbon Icon for my son. He is 13 so the ability to go from 26" to 30" draw length was a big plus. It is a little more poundage than he is used to but it wont take long practicing for him to get comfortable with it. He is a pretty happy kid and I am hoping he gets a chance to shoot something with it this fall.
He looks so excited! Haha, JK JK! That's awesome, My 4 year old son has a small recurve, and I'm wanting to get him some sort of compound, but I'm not too sure which one just yet. I hope you and your son have many years of amazing bow hunting together!
Very nice bow I wish the lad the best of luck with that bow in his hand. He was taught to wait for the perfect shot and learned well.
I'm looking to get one but the Parker Ultralite 30+ is the one I'm probably going to get since it's a little better one the wallet. Nice bow too, did you get a chance to try it out? I would like to know how the draw is on the speed setting.
Awesome for your son! Hopefully come this fall, youll be posting pictures of him with his new bow and a deer!! Best of luck to the both of you.
I knew I would get s**t if I posted another thread about a new bow without pictures and he was in the middle of something and wasn't amused I made him stop for a picture
I did not try it out. I haven't gone in yet but I have a feeling I may have tore my rotator and haven't even set my No Cam yet because I don't even want to try and pull that 70 pounds back
Bummer having that bow myself and not being able to shoot it would drive me nuts, hope you just have strained muscles brother. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
