    Hello, noob here

I was shooting my new rinehart target. It's the 6 sided one with the removable insert. I have been having a terribly hard time trying to get the arrows out of the target. It has been so hard that I actually stand on the target and pull with all my strength to get the arrows to come out.

Do you guys have this problem? Do temperature affect it? How can they say it's so easy a child can remove them, but a grown man can't?

Try some wax on the arrow or rub bar soap on it?

I use an arrow puller, makes all of the difference in the world on mine. I occasionally use the Scorpion arrow lube, but rarely. It will loosen up a bit with the more holes that you put in it. I've also found it helpful to twist the arrow to break the bond before pulling it out.

    Hope this helps.

I agree with Ventilator, try an arrow puller. I think that will help.

Yes, the target is a lot stiffer in colder weather. I typically just cut a V notch in a bar of soap and rub it about 6"....STOP...no jokes here

Phil is right, when it gets colder it will get really tough to pull arrows and with those rinehart targets they're pretty tough so you know it's a quality target.

I got an 18-1 a couple months ago. I notice the field points are harder to pull than broad heads from it. Temp could make a difference but I think it's more that the BH's cut through rather than a field point still letting the target material surround the arrow shaft.

they also make arrow release liquid that worked well the few times I shot target points from a crossbow into my Rinehart 18-1. not sure how we would have gotten them out without it. didn't try soap or wax so can't speak to that.

Arrow lube and an arrow puller. Can't go to the 3d range without it. Few times I forget and it takes two people to get my arrows out.

I used the arrow lube till I got my Rhinoblock broke in. When I did, somebody stole it while I was moving.

Like mentioned above, the colder it is the harder they are to pull out. Your two best friends are gonna be lube and a puller. Also depends on the type of field point you have as well as arrow thickness. Some arrow companies offer a target tip which is almost boat tailed. They pull out nice too.

Yup I can affirm. I live in Va its been below 40 for weeks. If my target is in the garage and cold it sucks to pull arrows out. If its been in the house and warm its easy and business as usual.

But also broadheads are easier to pull when cold.
