I have the new Mathews HTR and I am not really feeling the focus grip. My shots are very inconsistent and the grip feels funny. Wondering if the wood grip from the creed would fit? If so, anyone have one they would sell or trade for the focus grip? Thanks

With the focus grip you have to make sure you have your knuckles at about a 45 degree angle or make sure the ridge of the grip is on the life line of your hand.

I think putting the grip on the lifeline is too deep in you hand. I try to keep the grip outside my lifeline.

The Mathews focus grip felt more like a target grip to me. When I found out that Mathews has a black walnut grip specifically for the HTR I ordered one straight away. The wood grip fills up my hand better and it's engravable. There are a few other after market grips out there too. The grip is what connects you to your bow and is a personal choice for sure. I ordered it directly through Schaffer. The wood grip cost something close to $60 because I had the other side engraved with a bear and my name. I know, vanity. image.jpg
