I received my Pope & Young and State of Nebraska Big Game Records certificates this week. I was lucky enough to get a giant this year! Gross score of 171 7/8" & Net score of 155 4/8" So I was thinking about framing them and putting it next to the mount but I was curious about what other ideas people might have. I'd love to hear some ideas and see some pics if you've done something with yours. Thanks and happy shed hunting

I just keep mine pretty simple and display it in a frame next to my mount.
I am looking for some more creative ideas also so I will be keeping an eye on this post also.

That's an awesome buck you killed! Congrats. I don't think the certificate does that buck justice. I believe the gross score should be what counts. Nets are for fisherman.

When you decide to put a buck in the books you are agreeing to the net score, it is the way it is.

I understand that, but it doesn't mean I have to agree with it. That's why I wouldn't enter a buck. Score the inches that are there.

Fold it into a paper airplane? I've never shot a nice buck like that but I know I wouldn't care about the paper.

If it means a lot, just put it in a frame underneath your mount. There's not too many things you can do in this situation. Maybe you can get a pedestal mount and incorporate the paper somewhere.

I like the wooden plaques they sell that mimic the certificate. Get one of those and hang it next to it.

You could have it framed along with a victory photo and the tag assuming your tags are paper and not bands.

I've seen a couple that had the cert, photo, license/tags, etc. matted and in a frame that looked pretty cool.

What about a shadow box with the broadhead, tag, and a photo? Kinda arranged in a neat way.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and congrats guys. I do agree that the net score doesn't do a deer like mine justice. He lost over 16" because of symmetry, which just doesn't seem right to me. The base of his g3 was just barely inside of the center of his main beam. But I do acknowledge that if I want him in the book, I have to be alright with the net score. I really like the idea of the shadow box! I still have a couple months until I get the mount back so if anyone else has a creative idea, I'd love to hear it

Net score in the book like p&y and b&c means nothing. Its a book for trophy of a lifetime by bow and gun. Because for one to qualify for sure has to be very even by the typical or nontypical. For example to qualify p&y. two bucks that green 130 after 60 day dry period, both 10 pts. One of em nets 126 and the other net 123 because both sides of the tines are not as close to even than the other. But for gross in the book like Safari club international by typical and nontypical is a true place to put youre trophy qualifiers in the book and it dont have to be a trophy of a lifetime to go in the gross book. Like the same example but the oppisite of net. Both of those bucks would score 130 typical bronze for midwestern whitetail. Thats what i call even and fair rather than critisizing to force both sides of the rack to be even by typical and nontypical. Sorry folks but net score by typical and nontypical dont excite me at all.
