I've been hearing a lot of good things coming up about elite. The article on the home page gives a good overview of the bow, but has anyone here shot one? Are they as "shootable" as you hear all over? Has anyone shot an elite alongside mathews, hoyt, bowtech etc? How do they stack up against the top companies? Just curious as to who here has shot them and what their feedback is. I might just have to shoot one for myself.
I shoot an Elite Z28 right now and absolutely love it! My last three bows were Mathews, Mathews, and Bowtech and granted they were awesome bows I shot the Elite one time and bought it on the spot. Now saying that, every bow fits each person differently(weight, brace height, draw cycle, all that good stuff). My favorite aspect of the bow is how long you can hold it at full draw, its almost to the point its hard to let down. I could go on and on about it, but to see for yourself go shoot one you won't regret it.
I've been thinking about switching to left handed bows and I shot both the energy and synergy. They were the smoothest bows I've ever shot. I was able to shoot 65 pounds comfortably over 30 times the 1st time I ever tried shooting lefty. My next bow will probably be an Elite! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just purchased a victory as my target bow. Picking it up tomorrow. They really are amazing bows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I currently have two, probably owned about a dozen of them over the years. I look for bows that I can tune to be as forgiving as possible and in that regard they suit me excellent
I recently went looking for a new bow to purchase and shot a bunch side by side, including an Elite 32 and Synergy. They are very solid on the shot, and the draw cycle was similar to the Bowtech Experience in my opinion, just not as stiff. I did end up purchasing a Hoyt because it suited me better, but you should definitly go shoot them all and see what works best for you. -Andrew
My best friend shoots Elite and he loves his. The thing about Elite is they're really nothing flashy or high tech. Just good solid design and very shootable.
I like Elite bows. Not speed demons but I even though I shoot a fast bow, I never buy a bow based on speed. I like smooth drawing, quiet bows. I like bows I can shoot 50 arrows and not feel abused afterwards. I really want to pick up a 50# Tour to shoot targets in my yard but just haven't found the right deal yet .
Get a grip made from one of the homemade on-line grip manufactures. Less than $100 and you can have it made to your liking.
I love how my Energy 35 draws, shoots and feels. I love the limb stops. Great bow. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a yoke. The two track system can be a pain for tuning.
Yep, there's always this option. I'll stick with the chill-r for a few years now. Just bought it last year instead of the elite. The elite is a very nice bow too.
I shot an E35 back when they first came out. I liked how it shot, but I did not like the grip. Also, I prefer bows that I can yoke tune. They are nice bows, just not for me.
I've shot the E35/E32 and the new Synergy from Elite Archery. These bows are amazing and you wont regret purchasing one. I don't personally own one, I decided on a Prime Rival this year, but the synergy was very tempting to buy. I'm looking to get a new target bow later this year and will most probably go with Elite!
I understand what you mean there, but my question to you is, How is mathews flashy or hightech? I Own a mathews, and love it, but is it worth that extra 50 dollars? Im not talking about the No Cam, but how does mathews, hoyt bowtech etc stand out in technology compared to elite?
Pretty sure I shot nearly every new bow available at the ATA, for me the Elite was just OK. It was a nice shooting bow but nothing about it really screamed at me....
Obsession screamed loud at me....lol. I like Elite, just the grip don't fit me at all. Sent from my XT830C
I got my first Elite this year when the 2015 models came out. I had been shooting PSE and didn't think I needed a new bow, until I shot an E35 at the bowhunter super show in Cleveland. After I shot the E35, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Smooth draw, solid back wall, huge letoff. Tuning was a breeze with bareshafts and the grip wasn't nearly as difficult to adjust to as I had been led to believe.
