I just found out I am going to need right shoulder surgery probly have it within the next 2 weeks. Doc told me 3-4 recorvery, so hopefully come june i`ll be able to hold up my bow!! Its my bow arm, so thats the only good news I have. Waaaaahhh!! LOL
I had right shoulder surgery a year ago tomorrow. I timed it so I would be able to bowhunt by October. I was able to shoot with lowered poundage by late August. I built back up to 65# by late September. Depending how much cutting they do, shoulders can take a looong time to heal. I am about 98% healed now. Do all the physical therapy and exercises they recommend. It will make your recovery as short as possible. Still takes a long time. For what it's worth, my shoulder is better than it's ever been (even at 98%), and I wouldn't hesitate to do it all again if it was required. I wish you the best of luck and speedy recovery.
Thankfully you're able to get it done soon. Definately listen to the doctors and follow through with PT. A lot of patients I see do no go through with the PT the full time. It truly makes a difference. Best of luck!
Thanks so much. My left shoulder was done about 5 years ago, still not like it was but its better. I appreciate all the advice, Glenn.
