Got some bad news last night. Many of you knew that I had some previous troubles with an outfitter that bought 40 acres of the farm that I had permission to hunt. Well after 5-6 years of great hunting while dealing with theft, trespassing, and poaching, I got a call from the farmer last night saying that he sold the remainder of the farm to the outfitter. I Hunted this farm with my dad since I was 10 years old, I'm 26 now. I envisioned buying a piece of it once I was more financially established, but it just happened too soon. Pretty much sucks. Time to dust off the plat book and start looking, chances are slim to none of picking a place up. I do have some other places to hunt, but they are much lesser quality farms. Outfitting is ruining hunting in this state.

That's too bad, never lost property due to an outfitter but certainly to property being sold. Good places to hunt really are hard to come by.

Been there before and it sucks. I feel for ya! Finding a new spot to hunt can be a pain but when you do learning a new piece of property can be fun. Keep your head up. Never know when something good is gonna happen.

That sucks man! At least you have a place to hunt while you look for a new place. Plus you get to learn a new piece of property if you find one.

That is a shame, I feel for you. At least you're not totally out of the game. I really only have State land to hunt, and in the beginning I took it for granted, but as some years have gone by I've come to realize how lucky I really am to have land I can hunt only 20 mins from home.

That's a bummer. I have very little private property to hunt so I can't commiserate, but hopefully you find something even better.

It most certainly was. Either him or his "guides" that come in for 3 months of the year and then fly back home to the east coast. Never had anything stolen til they showed up.

That really sucks and I know how you feel. My best hunting lands have dwindled over the years for various reasons.
