Never had that problem with Buckmasters but I had a different magazine deal that was similar years ago. I just paid the subscription and then canceled it. It was like a $29 subscription for a years worth of magazines, which I got for the remainder of the year after canceling. But yeah, it's the idea of the thing that's bad and it does piss off a person because it is most certainly an unethical business practice. I never buy subscriptions to anything and I have companies call all the time saying, "we just need to verify your address so we can send you out a FREE magazine". I quickly say, "NO, I don't want the magazine and take me off your call list!"
I've been getting the magazine Bowhunter for two years. I never asked for it and they never sent me a bill.
Buckmaster will bug the crap out of you with phone calls wanting this and that. I never sign up for anything with them anymore!
I've had all the same stuff he talked about happen and I simply ignored it, I've also gotten the "Well hows your season going?" Me:"Real slow, its June and I live in MI" lol
I stopped getting hunting magazine subscriptions because they'e mostly full of ads and stories of guided hunts that always lead to success. That's not hunting to me and eventually they run out of new material so I much prefer to talk experience and see average joe trail camera pictures. Like this site, it's much more like a brotherhood with first hand interaction and experiences within a few keystrokes with a much quicker turn-around. I still may buy one here or there, but I don't do the yearly thing anymore.
Buckmasters and North American Hunting Club both suck! I never signed up for BM but I did NAHC and the sent me a ton of crap in the mail with the bill attached. I sent them the laws for the us mail and told them if they want their stuff back come and get it. I stopped getting stuff in the mail and kept all the stuff they sent me.
now when they call and I hear "BUCKMASTERS" I just hang up.... and they seldom call back, If they do I hang up again..
Never had Buckmasters call me. If there anything like North American Hunting Club I hope they never do!!!
Haha,this again. This pops up every few years. Their business practices suck big time. They subscribed me once without my permission and tried to collect for months.
They are complete crap. They called, offering all these things for free if I sign up. Never said yes to anything and next thing i know I'm on the phone with some guy who is telling me I said I wanted to sign up. I told him I never said that and he copes this big attitude with me.. so I chewed him out and told him that his entire company can go F themselves. Since then, I have just put their # in my phone on the reject list. If they call, my phone doesn't even ring.
