As you can probably tell from the title someone stole my bow. I'm almost positive I know who it is but by now it's long gone and I will never see it again. Have you had this happen to you? Also if you look in the classifieds you will find I have a dozen new arrows for sale to help buy a decent bow to help me get back in the game.

Just a question but how do you change your username on here? It may be easy but I always find a way to make something difficult.

I have, after a long absence from bow hunting, a couple years back I decided to get back into it. I pulled my bow out of storage, started shooting in my back yard to get proficient again and was getting pretty confident. I took a break for a coulee weeks prior to the season, bought my license and low and behold when I went back to my garage, it had mysteriously disappeared. I was devastated as I was really looking forward to hunting deer again. Long story short, as it turned out it wasn't sucht a bad thin as now I have a brand new Matthews instead of a 20 year old Browning. The only thing I have lost was a few years of hunting.

That's good that it worked out for you but so far for me it's quite the opposite. New bow gone and I can see a old bow in my near future because I really don't have the money for a new one and insurance probably won't cover it.

If you know who it is can't you get it back or at least inform the police? Sucks to hear about your bow and hope it works out.

Not looking for money, just wanna help my fellow bowhunter out! Its ready to go, just probably needs a new string job. Its yours if you can use a lefty bow, let me know!

It was stolen out the front porch. A friend of a friend stole it I'm pretty sure because my other two friends bows weren't even moved.

renters should cover it if it was in the home or porch make sure and get a police report... It also depends on your deductible it may not be worth making a claim...

I don't think it would be worth it but I'm going to try. I already had the sheriff over and he took some notes. They found a bow but it had the wrong serial number.

With friends like that, who the heck needs enemies? That stinks. If there is one thing in this world I hate, its a thief. Hopefully it will end up found or you can get another bow.

It amazes me how many of these things get stolen. I just had a guy at the local shop tell me he had his stolen out of the back of his truck the day he bought it (brand new Mathews). The cops found it... in pieces along the road. People are pretty @#itty some times.

remember if the deductible is $500 or a $1000 that will come out of your pocket and your rates may go up it all depends on your company... As much as we want to use our insurance sometimes it is best not to..

Had all my archery gear as well as all my camo
& camping gear stolen 3 years ago. Like you have a real good idea who took it, local authorities never pursued it very hard. Luckily insurance covered most of it. Still havn't got it all replaced. I hope the best for you

Jon the owner of the bow shop I go to had a "friend" and every time he went into the back room the guy would take his empty bow case out and grab a brand new bow and some trail cameras off the shelf. A few years later since he couldn't prove that he was stealing the items he installed a few cameras and didn't say anything, the guy grabbed a brand new Mathews Monster from the front door that was just shipped and it was all on camera. Ever since he has been gone nothing was stolen.
