    Last thing I need in a stick is to be taking the steps on and off the stick.

    I saw them at the show and they do look very well built. I'm just not a huge fan of taking the steps on and off. First is the issue of transporting a dozen or more of these things in your pack, then digging them out and either snapping them all in place on the ground or when you're off the ground.

    I frequently have to adjust which side the steps of my LW sticks are on depending on how high I end up being and what side of the tree I end up hanging the stand on. In the event that same thing happened I'd hate to have to unsnap all of the steps and put them back in place on my way down. Right now it's a simple flip of the step and that's all.

    Neat concept and there's certainly some cool features - big fan of the folding brackets - but they're just not for me.

    I'm talking about moving the steps to the other side of the sticks after I've got them all in place and the stand is hung. Occasionally I'll have to do this because the stand either ended up working better on the opposite side of the tree as I originally intended, or it's a bit lower than originally anticipated. LW sticks only have one step per position so there will be time when I have to flip them on my way up or down to make things easier.

    I see on these sticks you can use one step on each side but that simply doubles the amount of steps you have to pack in with you from a dozen to two dozen if your'e using 4 sticks. Seems like a lot of extra gear - especially on a run and gun setup.

    Combine the folding brackets and the way these sticks pack together with a permanently attached step and now we're talking.

    I don't like the idea of plastic steps.

    cool design but not a fan of all the extra parts or cost and a lot of stuff to fool with while hanging off the side of the tree... I will stick[pun intended] with my around $50 20' climbing sticks

    you do know that their is 2 slot per side of each stick? so each stick could have up to 6 steps. easy to steps from one side to the other.

    for all of the other guy who said about cold temps and plastic.

    let me ask this question
    why do you put you're child in a plastic car seat? 9 times out of 10 you'll leave that car seat in the car with cold temps out side.
    and you still trust it to work same has warmer days outside.

    So be honest - what's your affiliation with this company?

    nothing for now..I like the ideal of 2 product in 1 but some guys say about moving the one step to the other side.( you're case with lw) but if you watch the video you will see the right side (orange steps and the left side olive steps) and in the middle of the stick he put up 2 steps side by side. which it would make it easy to move the step from 1 side to the other.

    You quoted the weight without straps and steps. I read your post on AT as well and you posted that complete they weigh the same as 4 LW steps. I just don't see enough of a benefit to warrant switching, but good luck to you and this company. It is a unique idea and if I didn't already own 4 LW sticks I may be tempted to try them.

    The last thing I want to be doing is assembling my climbing sticks in the woods. I mean I have enough crap to carry without adding separate pieces.

    Here is my take....I want things simpler, easier and less steps involved. That i will pay money for. Otherwise I can just keep my muddy sticks....

    well if you ever would new stick I would look into them more. I like the ideal about making it even harder for some one to steal a tree stand. I had my stand and stick stolen a few years back.
