I'm doing a European mount of the buck I shot this year and I'm looking for different ideas for plaques or ways to display it. Here's a pic of one I did a couple of years ago. I made this one from barn wood that I got off one of my father-in-laws barns they were tearing down. image.jpg image.jpg

I will be watching this thread. I have my gun buck sent out for a European mount right now. I was trying to figure out away for it to be displayed as well. I have some Elm boards we took off the land and had made into rough cut material and was planning on doing something with that.

I'm almost embarrassed to post these photos as they're so terrible, but I never took anymore pictures of this mount since I got it back. This was with my cellphone.

    Anyways, here's my habitat mount:

I don't think the pictures are bad. But the mount is awesome, that's really cool. You have some time in to that . Nice work.

I'm a photography instructor, so yeah, they're painfully bad :D

I should clarify that I didn't build the mount, I had it done locally.

I used old barn siding for this one.

Here are a couple of mine! The top buck is painted with killz primer due to some staining and the bottom one is natural.

I wouldn't even consider this a EM as you can see its old and basically fallen apart over the years now, this is my 1st Buck ever when I was a teenager back in the mid 80's... Hate to say my parents didn't have the $ to get it mounted and thus just allowed it to go to waste... A Co-worker of my step Fathers did this for us back then. Again it's cracked and fallen apart over the years.....But I've since given it to my 9yr old son and it sits on the top of his shelf in his room....

I use those skull hookers. Pricey but nice. Most times I request them bought as Xmas gifts. You should be able to see them in my profile pic
