First of all Im not trying to brag and I will admit I have a problem. I love to build things and I love to hunt out of box blinds. I have quite a few food plots and I have been trying to get enough blinds built to have one for every plot. Normally I build them and then set them up on posts about 8 ft off the ground. I have learned over the years that this can be a problem as far as maintenance and being mobile. Once you put one in the ground it makes them pretty tough to move. I saw two wagons for sale on the way home from work last month. I have been brainstorming for the last year how to make a nice mobile blind. Here is what I came up with. Thought it turned out pretty nice. I had most of the lumber lying around so I have about 450 dollars in this one. I figured If a guy had to buy all the lumber you could build a basic one for under 750 depending on what you have to pay for your wagon.
That's awesome! I've been wanting to do that for a while but could never find an old grain wagon cheap enough. I did get an old barg wagon tho over the summer to make something similar. Yours looks pretty dang good but as Matt asked how'd you do the floor?
all of our blind have the nice hydraulic office chairs with rollers on them and we carry in a heater. Im an electrician and whenever we go in and remodel the building they are always getting rid of the older office chairs.
Looks great Clinton! I like that it's mobile. My hunting blind is pretty sweet, but it's always in the same spot. It's fine for gun hunting, but since I've kinda moved away from gun hunting it doesn't get a lot of use. I'm hoping to use it late youth season for my daughter.

Covey I deployed the first wagon blind a few nights ago in the dark. We tried to back it up with my Tahoe instead of the tractor. Its a SOB. But one of my buddies set in it the next morning and had four walk out in the plot and feed in front of him for a half hour an acted like the blind wasn't even there.
LOl, whoever invented that type of steering mechanism should have been kicked in the sack...hard. They suck to try to back even with a tractor. They generally trail well going forward is the only plus. I bet they work well, it is a cool idea. Deer are pretty oblivious to equipment.
So... if you were to just pull it around the fields with a hunter in it... is that road hunting? Awesome idea!

I saw a similar idea at a neighbor's place where he mounted an old semi tractor sleeper on an old lawn mower trailer. I like the bigger size and more room with this setup. Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk
