Hey guys I have a question for everyone. This will be my second full season bow hunting and my question is what is the longest lengths of time between shooting shooting with a bow. I personally have never shot a deer with a bow. I did get lucky last season and shot my first and only buck with a shotgun. I just like to know if yyou guys shot deer every year or if its longer then that some years. Thanks guys

I just finished the season...my third full year of bow - and still have yet to shoot a deer. I have late season if it's not too nasty cold, but so far, no luck.

I shot my last rifle deer in PA in 2010...did get a nice buck in IL last year. But for PA I am going on my fourth year of nothing.

Let me add - I do not get much time to hunt. During bow, I get Friday (evening usually) and Saturday. I sometimes get luck and get an extra day off. My rifle is opening Monday and the two Saturdays.

I've been blessed to have atleast taken a buck or a doe with a bow each of the ears since I picked up a bow seriously. Opening day doe this year kept the streak alive...someday it may end...hope not though :)

I have been bowhunting for two years and I have been blessed to get a doe for both seasons.

I usually take at least a doe every year. This year I got one of each but I don't have too many years where I kill more than one deer with a bow. I have been bow only since 2007 or so.

The land you are hunting and your personal standards dictate a lot of that.

Have harvested a deer every year for the last 8 since I got back into bowhunting. Keep in my I spend LOTS of time in the field but also have good spots close to home.

About 6 months.... unless I smack a lil critter of some sorts between seasons :)

I guess if we are talking deer only than a year, I read the title of deeds and thought we were just talkin bout killin stuff....

I shoot 'em every year but I'm hunting as much or more for the freezer than the wall. I'm also lucky that I live in a state with unlimited doe tags. And I like to kill deer so when a doe walks in front of me its gonna have problems.

I think I'm averaging a deer every 10th day in the field.

Haven't shot a buck with my bow since 2009...

I've managed a doe a year though, but no doe tags this year.

I shot an eight pointer this year for my first bow kill, which also turned out to be the first deer I've killed in 18 years. Over the years it has been to many close calls and could've, should've, and would've moments but to finally close the deal and to do it with a bow was such an amazing feeling!

Just took up the bow this year. Haven't been fruitful with it yet. Have taken two with the rifle though. Only get to hunt every once in a while. Have about 7 days left in the year I can hunt and am still hopeful.

Before last year when I shot and recovered 4 whitetails, this year 2 bucks shot and recoverd, I have never taken a deer with a bow, and I started bowhunting way back in 1987! Hows that for a dry spell!! At least last couple of years the Good Lord has blessed me with some deer!

It took me 13 years to shoot my first deer with a bow, but now the dam has burst and I get two or three each year. I'm a slow learner apparently. Moving to Nebraska has done wonders for my hunting carreer.
