    Hey all,
I have pretty good system of layering and it seems to work well to keep me warm but its very bulky and limits my mobility a tad. Right now I use this:

    Under Armour
    Cotton T shirt
    Jeans
    Zip-up fleece
    Fleece Vest
    Fleece neck gaiter
    insulated Camo Bibs
    Carhart Jacket
    Fleece skull cap over hat

Any recommendations on some cold gear that will help keep me warm and still allow for mobility.

i have yet to shoot my bow at a deer when layered that much. heater packs or battery powered warning clothes may be in my future if i keep bowhunting to keep the thickness of my clothes down.

    Here's my system:
Polypro long underwear, tops and bottoms, if it's cold, thick stuff. If it's real cold, thick stuff on top of the thin stuff. NO COTTON!
    Scentlok baseslayers, top and bottom
Fleece layer, tops and bottoms. Like fleece pajama pants and a fleece mid layer, not too thick.
Scentlok outer top, either mid weight or heavier, and scentblocker dream season pants
I pack in a down jacket for cold sits. I just got the kryptek aquillo, and it's freaking amazing! It's like putting on a sleeping bag, except you hardly know it's there.
For my feet I go double smart wool or wigwam or under armour socks, inside felt lined ranger boots, but I'm expecting some lacrosse for my bday next week. ( thanks dad)
Carharts neoprene gloves keep me warm even when they get wet.
I've also been playing with stick on toe warmers on the insides of my wrists, it works awesome at keeping your hands warm, and they are very unobtrusive. Much better then in your boots!
A good hat is always important. I prefer a hat and neck gaiter to a baklava because it doesn't interfere with my anchor point.
    Hope that helps!
I live in Maine, and hunt through February, so....

Merino base layers. I use midweights and they are great with temps in the 20s with a jacket and pants over them.

Check out Gray Wolf Woolens. Awesome stuff. I've sat in 25 below with it for three hours. I got chilled but didn't freeze. Shot one of my best bucks that night.

Light weight merino wool base layers, light outer layer, then crawl into a heater body suit. Best system out there.

Wish I knew, froze myself last 3 sits.
    Mid 30s then a 25 and today a 40-30.

3.0 upper, rocky fleece top and bottom, camp pants, fleece pullover and topped with a set of bass pro softshell .

I'm not sure what the softshell is good for other than temps where I could get by without it. Stuff seems to generate cold.

Old timers used wool and a wind block, I think that's where I'm heading. These new materials, UA and softshell just don't seem to work for me.
Wife loves her natural gear winterceptor fleece as an outer layer, she used that , a set of 3.0 , camo pants and shirt and was hot walking.

Long underwear, sweat pants, a flannel shirt and maybe a sweatshirt and cabelas silent suede bibs and parka. I've sat all day in teen temps and been comfortable. I am warm blooded though and keep my heat set on 63 ish if the wife doesn't complain too much.

I would lose the cotton t-Shirt and jeans and replace it with merino wool, polypropylene, or another performance base layer. This will be less bulky and will keep you warmer when wet. I hunt in Canada every few years and nothing cotton goes into the field with me. Wet cotton and denim are a recipe for hypothermia and frost bite.

I am a big fan of Under Armour, BUT, I will say that if you want to spend half the money and get almost the same quality of warmth and scent control you might want to check out Field & Stream C3 base layer.

NOSCENT C3 technology minimizes odors in antimicrobial Zeolite, and recharges in the wash
SMARTWICK technology responds to moisture by quickly wicking sweat away from the skin
    Fabric: 86% polyester/14% spandex

"Carhartt Union Suit" or better know as the long john onesie! I wear this with one outer layer and one thermal layer.
