Oh yeah.....brat #2 Shout out to Brothers Meats in Maple Grove,MN for hooking up my meat, thank you kindly
Venison stew last night then again for lunch today. Wednsday night was fried backstrap. We eat venison 3 or 4 times a week this time of year.
I munched on a few slices of venison summer sausage this afternoon. I process and make my own sausage.
Spaghetti tonight. We grind a lot of our deer. Last night we had burgers. We probably eat something with deer in it 4-6 days a week.
I had some back straps from the young buck I got last year a few days ago. Just picked up 3 boxes filled wi th my buck from this year and dropped off my doe. Have 1 firearm and 1 archery tag left. Both are good for a buck, but some jerkey meat and straps wouldn't be a bad trade off
Tomorrow ... Blackstrap with a generous amount of my dry rub wrapped in bacon and smoked for 4 to 5 hours the wife and kids love it
A couple days ago. I cut some steaks out of my wife's doe and she breaded and deep fried them. Served with some mashed potatoes and white gravy. It was excellent.
Last weekend, venison chili. I always grind pretty much my whole deer except the loins and back straps. My wife won't eat it unless it's ground and in chili, tacos, sloppy joes, etc. She really doesn't even like to eat beef steaks, roast, etc. So before a bunch of people say "she would eat this recipe I promise", don't, because she wouldn't LOL.
Last weekend... HOWEVER!!!! I'll be cooking some thinly sliced chops tonight outside burning my fingers on a single burner coleman, right before the patriots game!!
Just got done making 4 links of summer sausage. 3 normal ones and the last one has hot peppers and cheese in it. This will be my sandwich meat for awhile.
Venison and veggie soup two nights ago and lunch yesterday. Last week I fried back strap for my wife for the first time and she gave her blessings on my ideas of buying a new bow. Lol.
