Well today I got the phone call I was hoping not to get. A neighbor shot a buck I was hoping to get the chance to hunt when I go to Iowa on December 10th. I have been thinking about this buck since I got a picture sent to me of his shed in January. He was on a farm they don't let many people hunt and no one from the family drew a tag so I am going to be the only one to hunt this farm. They have the right side of this buck from the last 2 years. I even got a text that they glassed this buck Saturday on their property. Here is a picture of the last two years right side sheds. Here is a picture of his shed they found in January. Congrats to the lucky hunter who harvested a buck that anyone would lose sleep over. I heard he scored 225"
Dang good for the hunter that got him but sucks for you, hope karma pays off and you shoot a bigger one
That sucks, at least another hunter got to put him down, here's a pic of a deer I had hopes for, lived on public land down near Shakopee.....two weeks into bow season he got hit by a car
Sorry to hear about that Tom! He's definitely a giant! Hopefully another big buck will move in and take his place for you during the late season
