I'm a big Bowtech fan and I could actually shoot two of these with my 31.5" draw. Possibly getting a gently used CPXL for a great deal, but the boss could definitely be a contender if it falls through.

Good grief - I wish their website didn't suck so bad.

So what's the scoop with the Power Disc? It changes the power curve/let-off/speed of the bow as you move from position to position?

I think it's funny that they put the KE out there. Completely based on speed and weight of the arrow not the bow...

Agreed, I really wish they would abandon the Flash.:D

I like the looks and specs of the Prodigy. Of course I tried to wade through the information elsewhere online, and was about to PM, Matt, but I would like a little explanation on the Power Disc as well.

Yep, that's basically it Justin. Similar to the concept of speed/smooth mods back in the day, the PowerDisc allows you to tune the draw force curve based on preference for speed or smoothness all on the same bow or platform without needing additional cams or modules.

I'm not sure if I'll order the Boss or the Prodigy but when I get one I'm going to map draw force curves in each setting so people can see the difference under the curve and the speeds associated.

Good to know, Matt. That was my next question (like the speed/smooth mods back in the day).

I like the Boss specs as well, but it seems to fall inline pretty much with a CPXL but a little heavier. Wondering if there are subtleties (aside from the PowerShift) that would make the Boss stand out against it.

That's interesting. I'll be revisiting Bowtechs tech for sure. Good looking bows and I'm a fan of 7" Brace Height.

Not looking to call anyone out, but this isn't accurate. The KE a bow produces is based on draw force curve and bow efficiency. The KE put out with the same arrow, same draw length, same draw weight will be very different based on what bow you are shooting. The stats BowTech is outlining is based on IBO standards for arrow weight, draw length, and draw weight.

Aren't all posted IBO speeds and tests based on a certain draw weight, draw length and arrow grain weight???? If so then there's your answer, they all should have a specific KE rating already based on the standardized test.

    Ahh, beat me to it.

I would like to shoot one but it will take a lot for me to give up this 360, at least for awhile anyway, haha.

I do love that they have the kryptek camo option. For me I think that looks a bit odd as an actual camo pattern, but it looks awesome on a bow.

Don't know a whole lot about the powershift but would the settings 1 and 3 be so different that you would need two different arrows?

I really really wish I didn't just buy a new Experience. That Power Shift module seems like a genius idea. Giving the shooter a platform that can be tailored or adjusted to their preferences or needs is pretty cool. Not only will it make selling a bow easier... "don't like how it draws... adjust it and try it now".. "need more speed, adjust and shoot".. , but it might also prove to be great for Bowtech in not having to build so many different bows/cams combinations to suit every shooter.
