    Hi All
From the stand today (stand is a tree house I built for the grandkids this summer) 7:30 had a spike go by stopped abought 75 yds.’ away (urban hunting) dog saw him started barking and he came back my way almost under the stand. 8:12 average VA 6pt popped out 20yds. I took a shot thru some trees as he turned right. Left would have been broadside in a shooting lane. He was quartering away did not get a pass thru but it looked good. Some bubbles darker blood I will update as I marked the spot and backed out.

    Fort VA.jpg Fort VA.jpg 10-24-14 Chill R.jpg
    Hi All
Cut up and on ice jerky in the AM. First deer with my new Chill R:nana: Overall it went well but I will say if I had a chance to think this over I would have let him walk as he was a young buck but when he turned to the right I had to make the shot or sit down .Once I see that he was better than a spike or a 4pt I did not have any time to age or size him other than I knew he was on the small side of average at best. NAP spitfire went in high on the right side across the top of both lungs and stuck in the left front leg. The arrow did poke thru the hide but a small hole. He went a bought 150 yards. Not much blood it was all in the chest. The pic of the grandkids Fort I just happen to put it in a spot that I could use it too :woot:
