    Nothing special about them.

    Cool? Sure

Sacred? Not by a long shot, just a deer just like the rest of them. Nothing magical or mystical to them.

It would be awesome to see one around here! And even better to shoot one! I'm not sure if it's legal or not. If it is then if I didn't shoot it someone else would for sure!!!!!!!

Thats my point... I have only ever seen the one and I like getting to see her. You may want to look into your states regulations before the first one you see is standing 20 yards away from you in a treestand! Even if they were legal to hunt here I personally wouldnt shoot the doe that we see. She is full albino with 2 regular colored fawns. She is neat and beautiful to look at. We just seen her twice last night on our way to town and on our way home.

I have looked into that! I called the game warden 4 times before season to ask him but he never answered! I wanted to know before one is right in front of my like you said! And I bet its cool getting to watch and keep track of her. Around here she would be poached or shot with a rifle or something pretty quickly.

Dont most states have hunting regulations on-line? Here in Illinois you just look up IDNR and bam... all hunting regulations!

Are they deer? Are they wild? Are they made out of meat?

    There's my answer.

Yep. They're deer. Actually genetically defected deer. They're real cool to look at but not anything sacred or special. Would taste good and look great on my wall. Lol

I think I would probably pass on an albino doe. Mainly because I don't kill too many doe as it is. Albino buck on the other hand, Yeah the arrow's flying and he's going up on the wall. No brainer for me!

Have had a 4 point pure albino on cam all summer... Landowners told me not to shoot it so I will not be hunting it.

If it were my land... He would get a good look from me.

I would and have passed on them. I pass on most deer and turkey I see. (all hogs get shot at usually) For me it is one of the more spectacular of gods creatures and deserve to live on. Why have a brief moment of pleasure when you can let it pass and see more often? Plenty of meat and trophy deer to harvest. But I am a huge ethical hunter so it factors into my shot selection.

there was a group here around the hill from my moms, 1-2 doe, a few young'ns and an 8 point, i would ride my quad over and just watch them, the one doe was always curious and would come within 10 yards, somewhere i have old crappy flip cell video of it.
word got out and guys were coming from other parts of town to hunt them, it is legal here in PA.
I heard the 8 point got killed and the kid got run out of the sportsman club in tears for doing so ?
but have also heard a buck was seen after that.
they roam the neighborhoods like pets, thats not fair chase to me.
I would never shoot one, just my way.
there is also a rumor it is 7 years bad luck to kill an albino, and i have enuf of that without trying :)

    Exactly.

Albino and piebald deer are products of defective genes, not something you want in a healthy deer herd. I've seen one piebald while hunting in 30+ years. I shot her.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you are not a genetic engineer nor have you any idea what defective genes are. An albino deer is nothing more then a skin, hair pigment issue. Not a bad thing nor are they dangerous. I'm guessing you ate and or mounted the deer you shot? So if you didn't want it in your deer population, why was it edible?
Look, ya'll. I'm not saying it's bad and I'm not saying it's good to shoot albino's/piebald. Personally I would never pull the string on one and I have Had many chances(one buck and three doe) in my lifetime. I find them too amazing and beautiful to shoot.
What I don't like is statements like this justifying the shot. Not trying to start a fight but this is just an uneducated response. By this logic all non typical and fork horn deer should be shot on sight also? What about non-symmetrical racks? If you saw a buck with 7 points on one side and an the other missing would you shoot it or be pissed it was missing the other side? But it is defective so should be shot right?
    Let the flame begin

We have a 2 1/2 year old piebald buck roaming our property. Normally I don't shoot 2 year old bucks but I get a chance, this one will get an arrow flung at it.
