This was my sisters first ever deer with a compound bow and only her third deer to this date , She was super excited and there is no doubt she is hooked to this bowhunting thing! It's a good feeling to see friends or family have success and I am really happy for her, Her bows draw weight is only at 42 lbs and she can normally pull that back without a problem but she was so nervous it took her three tries to get back to full draw haha, This big doe came in with a few others and presented her with a 15 yrd shot and she made it count, Almost perfect shot placement if you ask me, The deer probally went 120 yrds before piling up but I think we did push the deer a little, We started tracking her after about 10 mins since it was raining and the blood trail was diminishing! Most of you probally think well its just a doe but I was more excited for her then I was if i would have shot a big buck, This is what hunting is all about guys! Thanks for taking the time to read this and Happy hunting guys ! Hoyt Vixcen G5 Montec
This is what it means when people say it's a family tradition. Congratulations to you and your sister! I was the same way on my first deer/bow encounter - took me forever to get my bow pulled back!
