First, I need to give you some back story.. 1. I'm superstitious. 2. I'm superstitious. Last year, I made the statement that I was going to kill a deer the following day. The next day, 15 minutes after being in the stand, killed a deer. So yesterday, in the "Live From The Treestand Thread" I was saying how I hadn't seen a deer in 4 sits. So I was starting to get antsy. They were busting my chops a little, so I said I'd just make the statement, and Voila! I kill a deer. Less than 20 minutes later......This guy comes strolling through, just as I had lowered my bow to the ground. He was less than 15ft from me when I pulled the bow back up to the stand, contemplating taking him. (He's so young he was totally oblivious) He's a really nice 4 point that we've named Waldo. I've had him on camera for quite awhile now, he's a great little deer. He just meandered around for about 10 minutes. He ended up walking directly in front of the trail cam. If you look to the left of him, he's about 15 ft from my sons ground blind. He's a great deer for a 10 yr old. He's a small buck for a 45 yr old. So, to answer your question. No. I didn't kill a deer. But I'm going to kill a deer tomorrow.
