Next time I get out will likely be Halloween and that weekend. Middle of the country should see a decent cold shot, but it's not going to last unfortunately.

There will be a couple short lived frontal passages but it's looking more likely that my vacation 11/7 - 16th is going to be dominated by warmth. Not liking that coming off a full moon on the 6th. East and west coasts will be a bit cooler though

Ordered a more mobile stand last night and plan on using the next 2 weeks getting comfortable with setting it up and taking it down. Hoping to make.something happen Halloween weekend, then again it seems it's always a bit warm in early to mid November.

I will hunt the evening on Halloween. My vacation is the same as yours this year, wish I'd've taken the the first week.

I thought about the 1st week, but didn't want to hunt leading up to the full moon.

I took Halloween and the weekend off, work M - Th then off the 7th- 16th and go back to work. Following weekend is IL first firearm season.

Hoping they get a lot of crops out over the next two weeks. Looks fairly dry so hopefully they're hitting it hard. Leaves are dropping nicely as well.

We've got some rain in the forcast this week, guessing it'll be another week at least for the corn to come down here.

c'mon dude, if you believe anything the weatherman says that far out, you're nuts. As of last Wednesday they were calling for sunshine and highs in the mid-60s here TH/F/SA. It rained all 3 days, sun never broke through until late yesterday, and it never got above 55. They have no idea what they're talking about. Think positive - highs in the mid 40s, lows in the 20s, with an overnight dusting of snow!

I will be hunting in MI from the 30th until I tag, or Nov 16th, whichever happens first.

I'll be off Oct. 29th-Nov. 10th. I will absolutely be hunting Halloween. The last week of October has by far been the best week for me and my family/friends that bowhunt.

I haven't watched a weather forecast in a few years.

Watch for fronts coming through our area on the 5th, 11th and 16th of November to break the warmth. It's all about the patterns.

Yeah, it's definitely a "mark" of the season for most.

Had to skip it last year as it fell on a Thursday and my work was cutting hours big time.

Friday is a normal day off, just had to put in the request making myself unavailable.

Pretty sure they'll argue with me but I put that weekend and my vacation in back in July

Totally agree. I have from Oct 25th to Nov 1st to hunt. That week always seems to produce the most activity in my area. Dark to dark hunts!
