Dustin Lutt is a friend with some amazing talents. I have known his father for years. We met in the woods on the Missouri River bottoms of Nebraska about 15 years ago while Mike was looking for a whitetail that he shot with a bow. I was glad to help a perfect stranger look for his trophy and a lifelong friendship began. Mike is one of the most accomplished archery hunters in the world and he obviously did an amazing job raising Dustin in the great outdoors. When you have 20 minutes without distraction, please watch this video that Dustin made. You will be glad you did. It shares a powerful perspective into the world of hunting. Enjoy. Sitka Gear | Turning Clothing Into Gear This link will take you to the video, "Game of Inches". It is on the Sitka site, because Dustin does a lot of their videos.
Will try to watch it over lunch. I've followed Dustin's and Rockhouse Motion's work for a few years now. They are REALLY talented. Thankfully we're seeing more of this in the hunting media industry. It really sheds a lot of positive light on hunting in general.
I thought the filmography was awesome. The narration was very well written and I enjoyed all 20 mins. It was a great comparison of both perspectives. I didn't grow up deer hunting at all and started only bowhunting later in life so to hear the rifle hunter's mentality growing up and the stories of deer camp was pretty interesting. Been waiting for the release of this video for awhile now. Tried watching it last night but it would never load. Also saw that Dustin and Mike recently were able to get two nice muleys.
Awesome video that really resonates with me right now. That camp in Ontario reminds me of home so much in so many ways. Thank you for sharing!!
I watched it last night. Excellent video. I like that they did not edit the less than perfect shots out.
Really great video. Showing it is okay to have different goals and wants. One way doesn't have to be the right way in regards to harvesting animals.
Its excellent! I seen as part of hunting films tour....Take a look at the website there are other very good trailers there....well worth you time if you can make it. Hunting Film Tour « Hunting Film Tour
Mike called me when he was getting home from that trip and was still flying high. Amazing animals. Mike's is stupid big. Mike just had a guide have to shoot a grizzly off of him. Not his first encounter with angry grizzlies either. He has done it all.
That's awesome stuff right there. These are some of the things I have been reflecting on lately, and really fit right into my perspective. Very well done video too.
It is a great video. I like how they talked about trying to make all hunter, regardless of method- or game-pursued, more united to protect the sport as a whole.
As much as we like to bash hunting shows. There are some people out there doing some really nice work. This is just one example. Thanks for sharing it.
