Went out Saturday evening after a late start. Well technically i didnt even get to the stand!! Me and my buddy were walking to our stands after debating wether or not to even go due to the good amount of rain that had been coming down all day. Well it started to let up a little bit and i convinced my bud to go. We were walking to the stand which is right across the street from my house.(maybe 200 yards)well when we walked across the road i just happened to look to my right cause i thought i saw something move. Sure enough there was a deer about 80 yards at the bottom of the pond damn. Our original plan was to walk all the way around to get to the stand even though the deer had already seen us. Well i got the bright idea in my head that imma sneak up on it. So i army crawled about 50 yards to the top of the pond damn where i had last seen the deer. I stood up and didnt see him and it kinda bummed me out because i heard him take off through the woods. So I got the idea ( due to prior experiences with this product that has worked incredibly with calming down deer for me ) to open up my little thing of buck butter and flick a couple pieces out towards the direction he ran. The wind was blowing right to him. So i sat there for about a minute to let the scent get in the air. Sure enough, he came walking right back out. didnt even know i was there. He came out flicking his tail without a worry in the world. Gave me a 30 yard broadside shot and i took it. Figured id add a pic of the arrow too. Got the wraps custom made since my buddy passed in may and isnt with us anymore. Figured since he cant physically be here with us i can still always have him with me when i hunt. Dont think i could have had the luck that i did on saturday without him
