It bothers me to no end seeing people saying what a deer can score based on a trail camera or a picture of the buck they harvested. People don't understand that it takes a lot of bone to get a 150 class buck or larger. I'm curious if this bothers others as Much as me.
I'm confused. Are you upset that people are estimating the scores incorrectly? There is a system for scoring a deer in a picture. It's still an estimate, but I'm pretty confident in scoring a deer within 10 inches of the actual score.
I could score him as an 8 pter. can't tell if he has a G2 hiding behind those other tall tines. you took a picture of a picture so it's pretty blury. going to stay away from the extras (split brow, sticker, etc.) If you really want a guess, I'd say 150 as a base 8 pointer but that's a pretty grainy picture to try and score.
Nope-- doesn't bother me at all. Not sure why someone else's opinion would bother you either. I understand perfectly well what it takes to make a 150 inch deer. Not sure why you think so many people don't know what it takes... Busted! You post that picture and ask us for the very thing that bothers you... Confused as to why you even bothered to post this thread...
Well if that's the best picture you got then you need a new trail cam. Even better may we see said picture of your hands on its horns. By the way.. It could score anywhere from 140-160
So that's is why you posted that it bothers you... to get a reaction and stimulate guesses from a crappy double take photo...
I thought I had the original cam pictures on my phone. Guess that was the last. Iv got about 4 much better on the pc at home. My appologies.
I personally enjoy guessing scores and seeing what other people are guessing. It also makes me better at knowing what a deer scores when I am hunting.
