Guy's, I dont get a lot of scrapes on my property and I am looking to try some mock scrapes this year. Anyone have pictures of their successful mock scrapes that they care to share? More specifically the licking branch. Not sure the preferred type of tree to start one under in my area. I have pines, cedar, oak, and black walnut on my property. Thanks

Of the choices you listed, I would go with oak. I have been experimenting with this for years and am developing a licking branch scent that I am have lots of sucess with. Curently I have field testers in a variety of states with video trail cams that will let me know if it works on other deer aside from the deer on the WI dairy farms I have been testing the scent on. Here is a video of the results from August of this year. Licking branch setups can be very good ways to direct deer where you want them.
