About a month ago I had a thread showing how I brushed my blind in and would keep you guys updated. Well this morning at 8:12 I was lucky enough to harvest my first deer ever. And of course i was by myself and had to learn how to gut it right then and there. She gave me a broadside 14 yd shot, complete pass through the arrow went across the creek and I couldn't find it. I tracked her for about 30 yds looked to my left and there she was! Such a great feeling taking your first deer with noone else even there to help with anything!!!!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!! huge congrats! You'll never forget your first bow harvest, Especially doing it all on your own!
CONGRATS! Very exciting time brother! well done and great shot. Hopefully all your gut jobs are easier then your first one.
The gut job took me alittle but hey it was my first time. I got the job done and now she's resting at the butchers!!!
Good work. If you haven't already. Lots of videos on gutting deer if you haven't looked already. I'm guessing you have the idea of things now. Hands on learning works well.
Congratulations and good job! It's a lot to take in at once - but it seems you must have kept your calm and got it done! Off to get a buck tonight?!
