How many vacation days do you get a year? vs. How many days of vacation time do you use for hunting related activities? (Not just bowhunting)
No wonder you don't want to start your own business. Sheesh. The MAX you can get here at my work is 15 days of time off a year. I had an old school boss (who is now retired) tell me that nobody should need more than 10 days of vacation per year because otherwise if you had more it didn't pay for you to be working because you would not be there be half the time. Of course that was about the time we went from a max of 10 days of vacation to a max of 15 days. I hit my 10 year anniversary last year here and finally got my third week of vacation.
I get a month of vacation but I do schedule several off campus meetings in the afternoons in November
Private sector guy here with no written agreement between "boss" and myself. One of those get pre-approval and don't fall behind on work type deals. So many an afternoon off will occur with only Kansas being the only set in stone consecutive day type trips.
I get 15 days. Here is how my vacation has and will go this year. 1 day planting apple trees 2 days for extennded family vacation 1 day bowhunting with two friends 3 days grouse camp 5 days bowhunting during the rut 3 days gun hunting So I guess that means 13 days for hunting and 2 for other.
You suck....I had to go with one of those Christian Health Sharing plans instead of regular insurance due to freaking insurance hikes Obamacare caused. Have yet to have to file a "request" so who knows if good or bad thing.
I get 5 weeks of vacation + a diversity day and floating holiday! I use 2 weeks for family vacation! I can use them a week at a time or day by day or hour by hour! I use 3 weeks straight in a row for Bow hunting. This year first 3 weeks of Nov!
Currently I get 20 days, but in March I hit 15 years at my job and will start getting 25 days. Before I went back to school I was using 7-10 of them for hunting.
I get three weeks, but that includes sick days. I usually take about five days for hunting. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
183 Vacation Days 2 Personal Days per year, can carry up to 5 max I use maybe 1 or 2 a year on hunting (personal days). Only a few of my "vacation" days fall when hunting season is in, so maybe 3 (one for opening day of rifle season and I'm off the whole first week of late archery/muzzleloader). No free health care here, though :D
Got 10 paid days this year and don't have any unaccounted for. I plan on using 4 for Bear in the U.P. and the rest were for PB. Ill hunt the weekends this year since opener is on a saturday for gun and bow won't be hot until mid october anyways.
25 vacation days a year 10 to 15 days are used for hunting 5 days for christmas 5 days family vacation
This is only my 2nd year bowhunting but I have been rifle hunting since I was 12 (I am 26 now).... I've never taken vacation time to hunt. This year I may use a day or two.
As a teacher I get one personal day each semester plus Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations during the hunting season. Most of my hunting is done on weekends on public land. Fortunately not too many people hunt where I do.
I get 2 weeks a year, next year I get 3 weeks. Only bummer is that I can't take them in November or December. I also only get about 1 day off a week in November. My vacation this year will be 10/24 - 10/30.
I have 15 vacation days, 5 paid sick days, and 3 personal days. We also get excused grievance days but I'm not sure how many. This year I am using 2-3 for the birth of my son (due any day now), 2-3 between Christmas and New Years, and the rest are for hunting. I have 1 sick day left, most of which I used when my daughter was sick. If I can make it another month or so without my daughter or I getting sick, I think that last sick day will coincidentally be used on a good hunting day.
