I'm hunting in the northern part of Michigan where deer aren't hard to find but the antlers are. This is one of the best bucks on our 130 acre property. But he doesn't look very old. What is your guys' estimation on this double brow ten points age?
I'd say 2.5. Sounds like you need to get rid of some does to get the gender ratio back in line. If you're having trouble seeing buck its likely because they don't need to move as much during the rut to find a doe so they pick and choose without much effort. Depending on how off the ratio is, you could be looking at a 5 year project. Fill that freezer!
Good pic buddy but same here man I am in michigan and we have to many doe's this year so I am a going to take one on open day if she is a good size.
I have a hard time believing he's 2.5 based on body size which is generally more reliable than antlers. The Hanson buck was aged at 3.5...just sayin.
